Roles and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should be able to:

Contributes to compensation programs by conducting analyses using market data and internal/external measures such as surveys and polls. Identifies opportunities and may make improvements to internal compensation analysis tools and methodologies.
Acts as a subject matter expert on business needs and compliance requirements. Operationalizes complex legal guidance and analyzes competitive market data for compensation and benefits programs. Uses this insight to improve design.
Creates materials to socialize proposed changes and receives approval from clients and management.
Effectively partners with internal teams during the design process.
Responsible for the successful implementation of a compensation and benefits program.
Effectively partners with, and integrates the plans and materials of other teams, before and during implementation.
Supports complex, high-risk projects and proactively consults with clients and partners as a subject matter expert. Recommends short- and long-term, compensation and benefits solutions to meet business needs.
Responsible for running compensation and benefits programs. Ensures that the program supports the business and HR plans.
Ensures operational compliance or alignment with Microsoft philosophy.
Leads supplier selection and on-boarding for his or her own areas.
Establishes supplier relationships and negotiates competitive service contracts that clearly define performance targets and deliverables.
Develops onboarding and training materials to educate HR partners on compensation programs, policies, and practices.
Provides answers for compensation questions of varying complexity and risk (e.g., Tier III escalations and above) from internal partners (e.g., HR Consulting, HRBP, Global Talent Acquisition). Makes recommendations to and coaches internal partners on compensation-related decisions, including regulatory implications and mitigation strategies.
Gathers contextual information from internal partners. Identifies and provides customized solutions (e.g., retention, competitive offers) or consulting as necessary in order to understand the business need.
Analyze compensation and benefit trends across India and make recommendations for modifying existing offerings or designing new proposals.
Work with the global compensation to ensure the annual salary review budget planning will be aligned with the latest market status and talent movement trend.
Work with the global benefits team and provide guidance on the local programs and activities.
Help Microsoft India to remain competitive on campuses by conducting through market research of compensation trends on campuses and making appropriate compensation recommendations
Drive the annual insurance renewal cycle by negotiating contracts with insurance vendors and driving enrolment through the Flexible Benefits Program
Review and address any “point-in-time” needs of the clients which may come in the form of off cycle compensation changes, leveling recommendations, custom market analysis etc.
Continuously improve awareness and understanding of Microsoft reward philosophy and programs across the business HRBP, Staffing and Line Manager teams through delivery of on-boarding/ training sessions and development of reward communication tools
Support HR Business Partners, Staffing Consultants and Line Managers across MS India on all C&B topics and ensure their alignment/compliance with prevailing Microsoft processes and governance frameworks
Eligibility:
Graduate in Finance/Accounting
5+ years of relevant HR Experience
Excellent project management and the ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent analytical skills
Strong process orientation
The high degree of results orientation and ability to execute while multitasking
Ability to partner across HR to deliver effective compensation and benefits solutions for the business
Ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders in other functions like Finance, Tax, Legal and Procurement, and external vendors
Demonstrated success at influencing peers and senior leaders from diverse cultural backgrounds
