The candidates that are proficient in English and Hindi communication skills and are second or third-year graduation or diploma students can apply before May 10.
TULIP was launched in 2020 as a partnership between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Ministry of Education. The motive is to offer an internship to fresh graduates in smart cities and urban local bodies (ULBs) across India.
Candidates pursuing B.Tech, BPlan, BArch, and BSc can apply for 18 months of internship from the date of completion of their graduation. By 2025, the ministry is aiming to offer an internship to 1 crore candidates.
The Education Ministry stated, “This launch is also an important stepping stone for the fulfilment of MHRD and AICTE’s goal of one crore successful internships by the year 2025. The digital platform powering TULIP enables discovery, engagement, aggregation, amplification and transparency…Security features have been thoroughly tested and the platform has been made scalable, federated and transparent by design”.
Adding to it, they said that it will boost the partnership between the communities and academia-industry-civil society linkages. TULIP will fulfil the internship and offer the experience to the candidates that will help in the functioning of India of Smart Cities and ULBs.
