National Institute of Technology, Raipur (NIT Raipur or NITRR) is a public technical and research university located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Founded in 1956 with two engineering disciplines, namely Mining Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering, the institute focuses exclusively on science, technology, engineering, and architecture.
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur, an Institute of National Importance, has announced Admission for PhD for January 2024. The total number of vacant seats are 489.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Ph.D. Program
The minimum educational qualification for admission is a Master’s degree with a consistently good academic record in relevant discipline.
The candidate should have first division or equivalent in both Bachelor and Master level degree.
All candidates seeking admission under Institute Scholar category shall have to possess requisite marks/grades in the qualifying examination given below:
Ph.D. (Engineering)- GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET
Ph.D. (Science, Management)-GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/NBHM
Ph.D. (HSS)- UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/GATE
NOTE: The Selection Committees may set higher criteria than the minimum qualifications listed above.
Applicants under INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP category should have qualified CSIR/ UGC/ DAE/ NBHM/ DST/ DBT/ ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR or secured funding from such an agency. They are not entitled for Institute Assistantship.
Applicants in Sponsored (Full-time) and Part-time categories must be a regular employee of the sponsoring organization with at least two year of professional experience in the respective field.
Applicants in Self-financed and On-deputation categories should have at least two years of professional experience in the respective field. The applicant should have qualified a national level exam (NET/GATE/etc.).
