In India there are 32 National Institutes of Technology (NITs). These institutes are dream destination for PhD scholars as NITs provide Institute Fellowships benefits.
As on 14 August 2022, there are two NITs have announced PhD for 2022. The total number of vacant PhD seats are 140 under Institute Fellowships.

- NIT Kurukhetra- 80 Seats- 16 August 2022
Hamirpur, 06 August 2022: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, an Institute of National Importance, has released PhD Admission notification for July 2022. Full Time PhD Scholars will be eligible for Institute Fellowships. The total number of tentative PhD with fellowships seats are 60.
