The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will organize the Summer Program at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering. Check out eligibility for the program.
IISc, a public deemed research university for higher education and research in science, engineering, design, and management, resides in the southern Indian city of Bangalore, Karnataka. Jamsetji Tata provided active support for its establishment in 1909. Locally known as the “Tata Institute,” it ranks among the most prestigious academic institutions in India, boasting the highest citation-per-faculty among all universities globally. It attained deemed university status in 1958 and earned recognition as an Institute of Eminence in 2018.
About the Summer Program:
Since 2013, the Centre conducts a training program every summer for promising undergraduate and master’s students from India and abroad, selected through a rigorous and competitive process. The training, based on the facilities at CeNSE, covers various research topics under the broad umbrella of nano science and engineering and spans 8-10 weeks. Eligible candidates will receive a scholarship of Rs 5000/month.
The homepage offers online application forms for the summer program every January. We display the list of chosen candidates after completing the selection process. Remember, the deadline for submitting applications is February 28th, 2024.
