Are you “that” UX Unicorn who has the ability provide leadership across the entire UX-design process? Do you have a firm grasp of our existing and future core technologies and can help bring a vision into existence through Microsoft’s tech-stack? Can you be the relentless advocate for our users and provide balance to our business goals and objectives?
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the design of our platform aligns with five key principles:
- Driven by user insights: Understands audience feelings, desires, and unmet needs. Listens more, and is relentlessly driven by qualitative research, quantitative data, and actionable insights.
- Inclusive by design: Leads with empathy, so audience members from around the world feel welcome, present, and able to participate with a focus on diversity, equity, and accessibility.
- Fosters deeper connections: Provides a structure that enables people to participate in more conversational, social exchanges – to chat, solve problems, meet new people, and grow their networks.
- Powered by the Microsoft Cloud: Showcases Microsoft and partner technologies, with a deep focus on Microsoft Teams – our hub for teamwork and collaboration, no matter where you are.
- Generates interactive content experiences: Provides creative ways to deliver inspiring core content that transcends a passive viewing experience and provides capabilities that focus on audience interactivity.
As the responsible individual that drives our UX design program, you’ll be required to identify and manage external agencies, creative resources, and their associated budgets to scale our capabilities. Within our ESC creative team, you’ll be working amongst a group of highly talented creative directors, creative strategists, design directors, and art directors that provide expertise across a wide array of creative disciplines. And across ESC, you’ll deeply collaborate with the teams that are responsible for tools & engineering, measurement, marketing & demand gen, audience strategy, content experiences, and diversity & inclusion. Lastly, you will be responsible for informing and reviewing with Microsoft stakeholders, executives, and partners.
