The Gujarat Police Department, headquartered in Gandhinagar, the state capital, and Ahmedabad, serves as the law enforcement agency for the state of Gujarat in India. It was established after Gujarat’s separation from the Greater Mumbai state on 1 May 1960. The Director General of Police (DGP) heads the Gujarat Police Department. It operates four Commissioners’ offices in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot. The department comprises nine ranges: Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Dahod Panchmahal, and Border Range. The state’s police administration further divides into 33 police districts and Western Railway Police.

 Educational Qualification:

Constable: Applying candidates should have 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognised board.
Sub Inspector: Candidates should have a degree from a recognised university or board.

Age limit 

Constable Must be aged between 18 and 33 years
Sub-Inspector Must be at least 20 years old

The candidate will be selected solely on the basis of their performance in several stages including Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), written test followed by medical test.
