IIT Patna is offering a free online course called big data computing which carries three credit points for postgraduate students.
IIT Patna has invited applications from interested participants for a free online course called “Big Data Computing”, which can be completed in 8 weeks. While the course is most suited for postgraduate students, anyone interested in the subject can take it up on the SWAYAM NPTEL platform. While the course is free to take, those who wish to obtain e-certificates with logos of NPTEL and IIT Patna will have to pay Rs 1000 and taken an examination on 29 October 2022.
The course will be conducted by Dr Rajiv Misra who is working in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India. He obtained his PhD degree from IIT Kharagpur, MTech degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and Bachelor’s of engineering degree in computer science from MNIT Allahabad. His research interests spanned a design of distributed algorithms for mobile, Adhoc and sensor networks, cloud computing and wireless networks.

The course is suitable for all undergraduate and postgraduate students and practicing engineers and scientists from the diverse fields and interested in learning about the novel cutting edge techniques and applications of big data computing.
