Scholarship to Study Abroad by K C Mahindra is an initiative to assist Post Graduate Students by providing them interest-free loan.
About K C Mahindra:
K. C. Mahindra (1894–1963), an Indian industrialist, co-founded Mahindra & Mohammed in 1945, later renamed as Mahindra & Mahindra in 1948, with Jagdish Chandra Mahindra. Born in 1894 in Ludhiana, Punjab Province, Kailash Chandra Mahindra, commonly known as KC, was the second of nine children. When their father passed away early, his older brother Jagdish Chandra assumed leadership of the family, with KC as his closest companion and future business associate. KC excelled academically at Government College, Lahore, and continued his pursuits at the University of Cambridge, where he earned Honours, played hockey, and developed a keen interest in rowing. Following graduation, he joined Messrs. Martin & Company, where he served as the editor of the monthly magazine INDIA and briefly led the Hindustan Review.
The K.C. Mahindra Education Trust was founded in 1953, by the late Mr. K.C. Mahindra, with the objective of promotion of literacy and higher learning in the country.
The Trust is registered as a Public Charitable Trust under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.
About the K C Mahindra Scholarship Interest Free Loan for Post Graduation
Since 1956, K. C. Mahindra Education Trust has granted interest-free loan scholarships to deserving students to pursue post-graduate studies abroad in various fields. The maximum amount for the scholarship will be Rs. 5 lakhs per scholar, except for the 3 K. C. Mahindra Fellow Scholarships for which the maximum amount will be Rs. 10 lakhs per scholar.
Eligibility
– Applicants must possess a First Class degree or equivalent diploma of similar standard from a recognized University.
– Applicants must be Indian candidates who have secured admission or have applied for admission in reputable foreign universities for courses commencing from August 2024, but not later than February 2025.
