About VKLP
The Verghese Kurien Policy Lab (VKPL) at IRMA undertakes research based on micro-data and helps evaluate central and state government’s policies and development programs. The methodological focus of the lab is on quasi and field experiments. VKPL is committed to sharing its research and field-level findings, and developmental strategies with policy-makers and implementing agencies.
The lab’s central research themes include problems related with livelihood strategies, decentralization and governance, empowerment of women, financial inclusion, the relationship between rural households and markets, provision of public services, and the impact of rights-based schemes and programs.
Eligibility
Mandatory qualifications: MBA (PGDM) or equivalent Masters courses in finance, marketing, strategy, OB/HR, project management, etc.
Minimum of two years of experience, preferably part of it while working in an academic setting with exposure to teaching and research.
Age: Maximum age limit 35 years (as on 10th April 2021).
Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to VKPL’s research, consulting and outreach activities, including (but not limited to) technical proposals, writing of contracts, monitoring of ongoing projects and grants, and recruitment of research staff.
- Liaising with donors, clients, and other stakeholders on each stage of the project and related academic activities.
- Collaborating with various departments at IRMA, including (but not limited to) administration, accounts, IT, and ETDC.
- Working with research teams to ensure that the project outputs are delivered on time.
Salary
The fixed remuneration will be commensurate based on experience and qualification. (Indicative range Rs.36,000/- to Rs.40,000/- per month). The position would be filled initially on a contract basis for two years with possible multiple extensions dependent upon the candidate’s performance and availability of funds.
