The Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme For RPF Ministry Of Railways 2024-25, sponsored by the Ministry Of Railways, is designed to support students who have secured 60% or above in their 12th Std., Diploma, or Graduation. This scheme is exclusive to two wards per family, and students studying abroad are not eligible. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 31st October 2024.

Scholarship Amount

The scholarship amount for the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme is as follows:

• ₹2500 per month for male students
• ₹3000 per month for female students

Scholarship payments are approved by the DG/RPF based on merit each year.

Eligibility Criteria for PMSS

Eligible courses for PMSS include professional degree programs like BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, BEd, BBS, BCA, MCA, B.Pharma, and more, recognized by respective Government Regulatory Bodies such as AICTE, MCI, UGC, and NCTE. Master’s degree courses are not eligible, except for MBA and MCA. Distance learning courses are not covered under this scheme, and it can only be availed for one course.

Who Can Apply?

• Students admitted in the academic year 2024-25.
• Students with 60% or above in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ).
• Only two wards per family are eligible.
• Students from institutes/universities/colleges with AISHE regulation.

How to Apply for PMSS?

To apply, follow these steps:

1. Visit scholarships.gov.in.
2. Click on the “More” button, then “Apply”.
3. Register as a new user and fill in the registration form.
4. After registration, you will receive a “Student Registration ID”.
5. Use this ID to log in and access the application form.
6. Fill in the application form, including Registration, Academic, and Basic Details.
7. Save and continue to the next page for Contact Details, Scheme Details, and Document Upload.
8. Submit the application and optionally print it.
