About the Organization
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public-private initiative that has evolved through extensive consultations with multiple stakeholders, including Indian and international academia, state and central governments, multilateral and bilateral agencies, and civil society groups. PHFI was established to address the limited institutional capacity in India for strengthening training, research, and policy development in public health.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordination: Collaborate with NACO, SACS, SR, and Regional/State level Training Institutes.
- Nominations: Expedite the nomination process of Point Persons or Nodal Officers of SACS/DACS for the rollout of capacity-building activities at the state, cluster, and district levels in consultation with the PD/APD and Coordinator.
- Module Development: Develop, update, and customize training modules for state, district, and facility-level cadres.
- Progress Updates: Report training activity progress to NACO on a fortnightly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly cabinet reports and articles for the NACO newsletter.
- Project Planning: Demonstrate the ability to plan projects, understand budgets, and implement time-bound activities with strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking skills.
- Travel: Travel as needed for project requirements.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Project Director and VP-Public Health Systems, PHFI.
Education Qualifications/Required Skills & Experience
Essential: Post-Graduation in Social Sciences, MSW, or MPH
Experience:
Essential:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in public health programs.
- Experience working with the Central/State Government or NGO sector, with expertise in partnership management and team leadership.
- Experience in developing training modules, case studies, and presentations.
Desirable:
- Experience working in HIV/AIDS programs.
- Experience managing and leading teams.
- Proficiency in writing skills in English, Hindi, and regional languages.
