The Institution of Engineering and Technology sponsors the IET India Scholarship Award 2024, which recognizes and nurtures future engineering leaders of India.
The 8th edition of the IET India Scholarship Award is currently accepting applications. In the previous edition, engineering students across the country responded phenomenally. Ms. Pragati Bhattad emerged as the national winner this year and received the scholarship worth ₹3,00,000. To be eligible for the Scholarship Award, students must be enrolled in first, second, third, or fourth-year full-time B.Tech programs in India. The deadline for the scholarship is May 31, 2024.
Eligibility criteria for the India Scholarship Award:
Any first, second, third, or fourth-year full-time regular UG Engineering student from an AICTE/UGC approved institution (open to students across all engineering branches as recognized by the AICTE/UGC).
The applicant must have cleared all regular credit courses in a single attempt.
UG marks should be at least 60% in aggregate for the semesters cleared so far or corresponding to a CGPA of at least 6.0 on a 10 point scale.
There is no age limit for applicants.
The application is open to both IET members and non-members.
Students from AICTE/UGC approved institutions and national institutes are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Prize Summary of the IET India Scholarship Award: There will be 5 regional presentations at 5 different locations (Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai). The scholarship awarded for the regional rounds will be as follows:
Regional Round: Winner – Rs 60,000 + Certificate + IET Membership, Runner Up – Rs 40,000 + Certificate + IET Membership. Winners of the regional round will compete in the national finals:
Winner: Rs 3,00,000 + Certificate + IET Membership, 1st Runner Up: Rs 1,70,000 + Certificate + IET Membership, 2nd Runner Up: Rs 1,50,000 + Certificate + IET Membership. *Note: If a student wins the scholarship both at the Regional and National levels, they will receive Certificates for both levels and the prize money for the national level only.

Announcement of shortlist for online test: June 21, 2024.
Shortlisted students select their slots to appear for the online test: June 26-28, 2024.
Online tests for shortlisted candidates: July 3-5, 2024.
Announcement of shortlist for regional rounds: July 15, 2024.
Regional presentation round opens: July 15 – August 24, 2024.
Announcement of regional round winners: August 26, 2024.
National finals: September 2, 2024.
Winner announcement: September 2, 2024.
